
Maya Badrani was born and raised in San Diego, California. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Psychology and a Minor in History. Ms. Badrani received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and earned a concentration in Criminal Law. She joined the firm in 2023 and was admitted to the California Bar in November 2025.
While studying at the University of San Diego, Ms. Badrani researched and presented a study on the effects of racial biases in eyewitness testimony, conducted research regarding the effect of race on jury outcomes in criminal trials and on change of venue motions. She also was President of Mortar Board, an honors society dedicated to help leaders flourish. Ms. Badrani has worked with the Children’s Advocacy Institute, where she helped collect and analyze data regarding misuse of funds by adoptive parents and foster homes to help draft legislation to ensure funding reaches children in need.
Maya Badrani currently represents clients in civil litigation ranging from personal injury to employment practices disputes. A large percentage of her practice involves defending public entities, including school districts and community colleges.
