RANDALL
L. WINET was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Diego,
California. He attended Torrey Pines High School and was a
member of the 1976 California State championship golf team
and 1978 San Diego County championship basketball and golf
teams. Mr. Winet was awarded a full scholastic and golf scholarship
to the United States International University, graduating
summa cum laude in 1981 as the Class Valedictorian. He then
attended the University of San Diego Law School, graduating
cum laude in 1984.
Mr. Winet
litigates cases throughout San Diego, Orange, Riverside, and
Imperial Counties. The Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of
Preeminent Lawyers has awarded him its highest preeminent
rating. Mr. Winet is admitted to the prestigious American
Board of Trial Advocates, an organization of trial attorneys
who have been recognized by their peers as demonstrating courtroom
excellence. In 2004, Mr. Winet was elevated to the status
of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates, meaning
that he has successfully tried more than 50 jury trials to
verdict. He is a member of the Association of Southern California
Defense Counsel and a member of the San Diego Defense Lawyers,
serving on the board of directors as a chair of the Educational
Committee from 1994 to 1995. Mr. Winet has served as an instructor
and arbitrator for the San Diego Inn of Court Evidence Workshop,
arbitrator for the San Diego Superior Court, and mock trial
judge for the University of San Diego School of Law. He is
presently a Master in the Oliver Wendell Holmes Inn of Court.
Mr. Winet's
community service activities include involvement in the Rancho
Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church and support of Father
Wassen's Orphanage for Haitian Children. |
