James L. Clark was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and grew up in Niles, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Packaging Engineering and a minor in Psychology. Mr. Clark also earned an M.A. in Psychology from Antioch University and was a practicing psychologist for 5 years. Stationed in Hawaii, Mr. Clark served in the United States Army before attending law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego, where he was awarded a J.D. in 1986. He is admitted to the California Bar and the United States District Court, Southern District. While at California Western, Mr. Clark received American Jurisprudence awards in Remedies and Constitutional Law.
For fifteen years, Mr. Clark served as in-house counsel for several major insurance companies in the areas of personal injury, construction defect and workers’ compensation. Previously, he spent five years as outside counsel in insurance defense, practicing personal injury and construction defect law. He joined Winet, Patrick & Weaver in 2008, where he specializes in construction defect and personal injury litigation. |
